Avanquest Software has always been in the news for their considerable edge over their rivals in developing personal and professional software. Now they have just launched, for the European and American markets, a Mobile Phone Suite which is creating a lot of buzz and is highly anticipated. The Mobile suite is basically for Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology-Based Laptops which are used in conjunction with Bluetooth Enabled 2.5G and 3G Phones.
The BVRP Mobile Phone Suite lets users of Intel(R) Centrino(R) Duo mobile technology-based laptops access the internet without using any PCMCIA card or WiFi hot spots. Users can enjoy uninterrupted high speed internet access as their Bluetooth enabled 2.5 and 3G handsets acts as modems. The BVRP Mobile Phone Suite establishes PC connections to hundreds of handheld devices and provides a WWAN connection. Users also are capable sending of multimedia messages from their mobiles which were composed on their laptop and synchronization of data is another function of the Mobile Suite.
Take note, Bluetooth has three different defined ranges, based on their output power ratings.
Class 1 devices are the most powerful. These can have up to 100 mW of power, and a regular antenna will give them a range of about 40 m - 100 m (130 - 330 ft).
Class 2 devices are lower power, with up to 2.5 mW of power. A regular antenna will give them a range of about 15 m - 30 m (50 - 100 ft).
Class 3 devices use even less power, with up to 1 mW of power. A regular antenna will give them a range of about 5 m - 10 m (16 - 33 ft).
Most Bluetooth devices will be Class 2 or Class 3.
