The iGreen Power series of power supply units from Cooler Master has been rated up to 85% efficient for a load of 250W which may of course vary according to various loads. The 500w model delivers a collective sum of 396W with the peak current for each rail topping off at a decent 19.5A. It has a dual ball bearing 120mm smart fan which spins around at a speed of 800RPM at 50% load. The fan works silently too and according to the manufacturer’s noise generated by the fan ranges from 17dB to 28dB. (as loud as a projector's fan).
Keeping in mind the dual configurations of SLI and CrossFire, the Cooler Master iGreen Power comes with two PCI power connectors exclusively catered for higher end graphics cards, which typically requires more power. It is capable of 400,000 hours of operation and a built-in power failure detector will light up to warn users of failures like short circuits, overloading and overheating. It is also RoHS compliant, and is a truly environmental friendly.
