
I will be throwing out my old PC soon, now that Desktop replacement laptops are coming out like mushrooms. Soon I can imagine notebook sales surpassing PCs all over the world and that would mean more notebook thefts. So keep your notebooks secure and make sure you can blow up the thief with your GPS enabled remote control. (wouldn't we all want that ?)
Fujitsu Siemens is launching three new Amilo consumer notebooks in April - the Amilo Si 1520 with 12-inch display, the Amilo Pi 1536 with a 15.4-inch screen and the Amilo Xi 1546 with 17-inch display. My fav pick is the AMILO Xi 1546 with 17-inch display multimedia laptop, featuring ATI's super high end Mobility Radeon X1800 mobile graphics solution. (drool drool)
The Amilo Si 1520 features Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology, Intel Core Duo processor and a 12-inch LCD WXGA display with CrystalView technology and light sensor which automatically adjusts display brightness to lighting conditions There's also an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with 128MB shared memory, USB 2.0, SPDIF, DVI-I and IEEE 1394 ports and Bluetooth connection and up to 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM in two SO-DIMM slots.
The Pi 1536 also features Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology and an Intel Core Duo processor, but with a 15.4-inch LCD WXGA display with CrystalView technology, ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics with up to 512 MB HyperMemory, USB 2.0, SPDIF, DVI-I and IEEE 1394 ports and up to 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM in two SO-DIMM slots.
The Amilo Xi 1546 features Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology, the Intel Core Duo processor, a 17-inch LCD WXGA+ (1440x900) display with CrystalView technology, ATI Mobility RADEON X1800 graphics with 256MB GDDR3, USB 2.0, SPDIF, DVI-I and IEEE 1394 ports and Bluetooth connection, up to 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM in two SO-DIMM slots, plus silent mode functionality.
