Kerio Technologies have just unveiled the Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.2, Windows gateway firewall and VPN package for SMEs which promises to further enhance its forceful feature set with Bandwidth Limiter and dual-engine antivirus protection. So this little application not only provides protection but also enhances the internet bandwidth.
It works using Quality of Service (QoS) device which basically slows down Internet connection for heavy traffic users. Then it frees the space for bandwidth-sensitive applications such as VoIP. Thus all those applications which hog the bandwidth are not able to limit the network resource.
Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.2 is also capable to concurrently make use of both the incorporated McAfee antivirus engine as well as any of the supported third party antivirus software packages.
