
With Mac Mini Apple wants to target customers who couldn't afford their state of the art machineries and salivate from a distance (including me). With Mac Mini being a reasonable success, Apple decided to take the Mac Mini a step ahead and enhance the Mac experience further. Thus now we have the Mac Mini with Intel Core Duo Processor.
The New Mac Mini promises performance up to four times faster than its predecessor and customers now can enjoy the renowned Apple System with applications like Life(R) '06, the next generation of Apple's suite of digital lifestyle applications.
The Mac Mini with Intel Core Duo configuration includes a 67 MHz front-side bus and 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory expandable to 2GB , a built-in 10/100/1000 BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet, a built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate). It also includes a Built- in AirPort(R) Extreme 802.11g WiFi, and have a total of four USB 2.0 ports. The New Mac Mini is rich in software applications too and users can fully enjoy the Front Row experience. Access to Apple's famous applications iTunes(R) play lists, iPhoto(R) libraries throughout their home is possible thanks to Bonjour(TM), Apple's zero configuration wireless networking.
The Mac Mini operating system runs on the OS X version 10.4 "Tiger" and includes applications like Safari(TM), Mail, iCal(R), iChat AV and Front Row. The Mac Mini with Intel Duo Core has started shipping and is priced about $599.
