Transcend Information has just launched a 10 Pin horizontal USB Flash Module (UFM) for industrial PCs set-top boxes and other equipment. These are available from 128 MB to 512 MB and users can take advantage Hi-Speed data transfer and exchange to meet their business needs. Compact and sturdy the UFM are ideal for Plug n Play functions and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 data transfers. Some other features include read/write speeds of 25MB/18MB per second, mechanical write protection to eliminate over writing of data and the addition of an external 4-pin-out connector, for connecting to an additional USB port.
These UFMs conform to the open industry standards and sport original SLC (Single-Level-Cell) NAND Flash chips for higher write speeds and lower power consumption.
