Pretec Electronics Corp, a renowned manufacturer of USB drives debuted its most recent USB 2.0 flash drive called the i-Disk Mobile at the CeBIT 2006. However unlike the other standard USB drives, this one has some additional features which would be appreciated by all even the average users. So what are these great features, well read on.
The i-Disk has data transfering capabilities between a PC and a mobile which lets users to upload, download or synchronize Phone Book, Short Messages and phone call records etc.
It also has what Pretec calls the Mobile Phone Bridge and charger functions which essentially means that the i-Disk has the capability charge the phone directly through the USB port of any PC. The i-Disk unlike other USB phone bridge has no buttons or switches and everything is done through mobile phone keys. The i-Disk is compatible with phones like Nokia and Sony Ericsson mobile phones with matching connectors and firmware .
