Terratec's new Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT is the latest addition to the rage of TV Tuners which not only carries dual digital tuners but also uses a PCI Express interface. However one major drawback to some people is the system requirements to run Cinergy 2400i DT. The 2400i runs on either Windows XP SP2 or Windows Media Centre Edition (no Linux?) and an Intel Pentium or AMD Athlon CPU and 512MB RAM. Installation is easy too and can be just used out of the box. On installing the drivers and Cyber Link software, one can just plug a FreeView box into a regular TV aerial and then connect the coaxial cable to the single input on the Terratec card.
Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT is technically special in some ways as this DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial) card comes with dual digital tuners and uses a PCI Express interface you can record one channel while viewing another or use picture-in-picture and watch two channels at a time. The scanning facility was able to pick up five TV stations and the remote was handy and user friendly and commutes well with the USB receiver.
