Companies these days are scrambling for capturing the portable digital market, be it MP3 Players, UMPCs or even USB Hard Drives. It is the turn of Verbatim Corporation to join this bandwagon and they have just unveiled two new external USB hard drives. The new Store 'n' Go USB HD Drives come in two capacities 4GB and 8GB and are priced at $129 and $199 respectively.
The Store 'n' Go USB HD Drives are unique because unlike their contempories, they make use of an attached USB 2.0 cable which makes them capable to act as External Hard Drives for PCs and Macs. It measures about 2.75" x 2.125" x 0.5", and comes with a pre-loaded utility to download applications for running directly from the drive. There is a polymer enclosure for shock resistance. Another cool feature is the blue light in the center of the drive which lights on use and the design aint bad too.
Ron Hanafin, Verbatim Product Marketing Manager when asked about the Store 'n' Go USB HD Drives commented "Whether it's for business, education or entertainment, people want to have their content and data with them without carrying their computer everywhere they go," "Our new Store 'n' Go HD Drives are a convenient solution for creating this portable working environment, where people can have access to applications and information with ease and style.
