
Microsoft again is in news but this time it’s not bad (well hopefully). They have finally released the Beta 2 release of Internet Explorer 7 exclusively for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 which can be downloaded from a new and exclusive IE Web site. With the new Beta program MS hopes to capture the home users and the hard core techies.
Margaret Cobb, IE Group Product Manger was heard saying in an interview “We feel like we've done a lot of work under the covers," Cobb said. "We're hoping that tech enthusiasts will all take a look at it and try it out."
The new version includes a much welcomed tabbed interface and an improved browser security. The platform also includes an RSS platform for downloading, storing and accessing RSS feeds across the Windows operating system. There is a phishing filter too and the search box results in quicker searches. Another new function the IE7 has is the zoom feature which would really be appreciated by those who suffer from vision disabilities. One can download the new version from this website:
