Compro Technology has just unveiled the VideoMate S350, a powerful digital satellite TV tuner card with analog video/audio capture. It includes a Philips 9-bit ADC chip, the renowned silicon digital TV tuner, the exclusive Compro Picture Purifying Technology, and Power Up Technology to provide flawless HD TV reception on a user's desktop. So now you can enjoy DVB-S TV shows on your PC and will be able to record your shows in high quality. The card is capable of automatically booting the system from the Windows Shut Down (ACPI S5), Stand by (ACPI S3), or Hibernation before recording and then automatically shutting down after the process gets over.
The VideoMate S350 also supports DiSEqC V1.2, Transport Stream and MPEG-2 digital TV record/playback and other 3rd party satellite TV PVR software. Some of the features found on the tuner includes; channel surfing, still frame capture, digital EPG, subtitle and Teletext, advanced picture in/out picture to watch live TV/playback video files. The onboard Video Desktop features lets one set up live TV screen as wallpaper mode and can also change settings related to brightness, hue, saturation, contrast etc. The tuner comes bundled up with handy software’s like ComproDTV 2, ComproDVD 2 and Ulead PhotoExplorer 8.5 SE software.
