MPC Computers unveiled the TransPort T2400 which is powered by the new Intel(R) 945PM chipset and is capable of supporting 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory and sports a Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo mobile processor. The TransPort T2400 includes a 15.4" widescreen XGA display and an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 video graphics for high end graphical display. The TransPort T2400 notebook also includes high-speed wireless connectivity and has the Intel PRO Wireless(R) 3945ABG mini-card with integrated Bluetooth technology. Users can also opt for the biometric fingerprint scanner and TPM (Trusted Platform Module). "The TransPort T2400 is designed for users seeking a powerful, lightweight notebook PC," said Paul Petersen, MPC's senior vice president of product marketing and development. "This system provides robust enhancements to our thin & light notebook product line by offering the latest in high-performance technology."
The TransPort T2400 other configurations include a 5-in-1 media card reader, which is capable of supporting Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick (Duo), Multi Media, XD and Secure Digital cards and a TransPort Advanced Docking Station which eliminates the use of any wires when connecting a monitor, keyboard and mouse. The notebook is available now and prices start from $1,799.00
