Another great alternative to Internet Explorer is the Opera browser and the new version Opera 9.0 beta has just been released which includes handy features like widgets and site-specific preferences. Widgets are mini programs which are assigned to do a number of tasks and can be pinned up. Another feature which will be appreciated by the users is the site-specific preferences which give you greater options when it comes to customization and results in safer browsing.
Users can also set their global preferences to a high level of security by turning off cookies, JavaScript, java and so on and turn them on site by site. Some other features found on the new browser include built-in Bittorrent support, improved pop-up blocking and thumbnail pop-ups. So finally another browser gets it right and those who want a change from IE and even Firefox, Opera 9.0 looks tempting as hell!
