Philips Electronics has just unveiled the DVDR9000H Hard Disk/DVD Recorder with Pixel Plus, built-in digital TV tuner and Guide Plus+ Electronic Programming functionality. This recorder provides a one stop solution to all recording needs like playing, pausing and recording television content. It features an optical disc recording and a Digital TV Tuner and features a whopping 400 GB hard disk which can store up to 80 hours of TV programming in HQ (High Quality) mode and up to 650 hours in SEP (Super Extended Play) mode.
The device has the SmartAlgo optical recording algorithm which optimizes the whole recording process and automatically detects the recording properties of an optical disc. Crystal clear audio and video is achieved thanks to the High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and with the Video up-scaling viewers, the SD resolution is boosted to attain more details. The onboard DVB-T tuner receives Digital Terrestrial TV signals to watch or record and the DVDR9000H’s digital 5.1 channel recording captures flawless sound and can record sound fed to the digital audio input, such as Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG Multichannel.
