
Sony today has just announced the new VAIO SZ series notebooks which promises state of the art functionality as it features the latest Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology and VAIO’s unique Hybrid Graphic System. The new series promises to give users value for their money and will meet demands of home users and business professional alike. The VAIO SZ series comprises of two models – SZ Premium VGN-SZ18GP/C and the SZ VGN-SZ15GP/B and weighs about 2kg.
Both the notebooks include a built-in camera, microphone, Bluetooth technology, wireless LAN and built-in modem and sports a unique architecture. With the Hybrid Graphic System users can access two modes which includes the STAMINA MODE-which conserves power by using the internal graphics chip (nice!) . And the SPEED MODE- which uses the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 chip for a high powered display. The notebooks feature a 13.3-inch widescreen display and come with biometric fingerprint recognition software, and Trusted Platform Module Security Chip for the ultimate security.
Some other configurations include DVD+RW/DVD+R, direct plug-ins for PC Card, Express Card and Memory Stick Duo, Sony’s own Clear Bright LCD technology and Sound Reality TM audio chip. Both would carry a $3000 plus tag.
