The cheapest Dual Core PC in the UK has been released by DELL and from the looks of it, the Dell Dimension 5150 computer is a pretty decent piece of PC equipment. This PC is powered by a Dual Core Pentium D 820 processor and carries a price tag of £297.08+VAT. The price and the fact that it packs a decent set of features no doubt will be welcomed by the UK users. It includes a free 15-month McAfee Security Software subscription and comes with a Windows XP Media Centre Edition with a good enough 512MB DDR2 memory. Not that I like to use McAfee products as I think their virus scanning software can't do a decent amount of detection anyway.
The Dell Dimension 5150 is housed in an Arctic Silver and Alpine White BTX chassis and is a silent worker to one’s relief. It includes a 19-inch monitor (nice) with a 2800x1024 pixels, 500:1 contrast ratio and an 8ms response time. Other configurations found on this affordable PC includes ; Intel 945G Express chipset, seven USB 2.0 ports, 512MB RAM, 80GB HDD and a trial version of the latest Corel Paintshop Pro software, MS Work 7.0, Photo Album SE, 60 days access to Dell's learning centre, plus a free Dell 725 colour printer. As always, you'll be getting good service from Dell's technical support.
