For starters, the box would include an Athlon 64 X2 dual-core CPU processor. Well you want more? Sorry to rain on your parade but that's all on the shelf for now. This latest offering by AMD will run on the Microsoft Media Center operating system. As far as other system requirements need for a LIVE! PC, AMD was quoted as saying "up to 7.1 surround sound and advanced graphics".
The LIVE! PC doesn't need a TV Tuner but users can certainly opt for one. AMD is being generous enough by proving PC manufacturers all the necessary software and applications suites needed to make their machines LIVE! PC compatible. It has also collaborated with Orb Networks to stream live and pre-recorded TVs shows and other multimedia content. Other applications to be offered by AMD include Live! Compress to record footage in small sized files, Live! Network Magic, a home network set-up tool, and Live! Media Vault, an online back-up solution which provided 250GB of storage for 10$ a month and 25GB for free. Last but not the least is the Live LogMeIn service which lets you remotely access a Live! PC and its data. Pretty scary indeed.
