
Micro Express today announced a new notebook PC which is truly different from the competition as it fully supports Intel's Interchangeability Initiative which is based on the principle of Common Building Blocks which lets users let change components. The new HEL8016 Notebook PC has been built exclusively for Micro Express by Compal and features Intel's latest Dual Core processor and High Definition Audio. Thus no mater if its home or work usage, the new notebook would fit in.
Not only does it feature interchangeable parts keyboard, battery, LCD screen, disk drive, AC power adapter, the platform can be upgraded to Intel Core 2 Duo CPU and the Intel Viiv technology initiative. It includes a 15.4" WXGA (1280 X 800) Display, has Nvidia Geforce 7600 with 256MB Video Ram and also includes a 1.3M CMOS Camera. Some other specs found on the notebook include; 512 MB of RAM, 8X DVD+/-R/RW Multi Format optical Drive, 60-GB SATA Hard Drive and a Fingerprint ID Detector.
