
The new MSI S271 will be available very soon and would carry a price tag of around US$1,498. The notebook would include a high definition 12.1-inch WXGA TFT LCD display and the dual core notebook would also include an ATI chipset. The S271 offers quite a decent of list specs and the standard models comes with configuration like ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics solution, super Multi DVD Drive, 256 MB of RAM which can be expanded to 2GB and an expandable 80GB Hard Drive. MSI chairman Joseph Hsu is confident that the notebook demand would grow 30% from the first half and sales by the Q2 should reach by 50,000 units, rising from 100,000 in the first quarter.
