The new Ferrari notebook unlike the previous models includes an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor and also features the Acer Video Conference solution It also has specs like an Acer OrbiCam, a 1.3 megapixel web camera, WLAN, WPAN with built-in Bluetooth 2.0 module, LAN connection with Gigabit Ethernet card and an 56K ITU V.92 modem. The notebook includes an expandable hard drive and one can opt for either a slot-loading DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive or a HD-DVD drive.
The Ferrari 1000 has an impressive battery life and features a 12.1 Acer CrystalBrite widescreen display and an ATI RADEON XPRESS 1150 chipset supporting up to 512MB Hypermemory. Its pretty compact and sleek and weighs about 1.7 kgs. The notebook includes applications like Microsoft Windows XP, adobe Reader, Norton Antivirus and CyberLink PowerDVD or CyberLink Power Producer, Acer GridVista and Acer Arcade Software Suite.
