Iomega has just unveiled its new network-attached storage (NAS) box with built-in wireless access, the Iomega StorCenter Wireless Network Storage which has a whopping Terabyte capacity. The latest offering by Iomega features four 250GB drives. All these four drivers are configurable and one can configure it in RAID 0, 1 or 5 according to an individual’s preference and need. The Storcenter is compatible with a wide range of operating systems including Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP, Mac OS X 10.2.7 or higher, and Linux distributions Red Hat 9, Mandrake 10, Debian 3.0, Gentoo Linux , Fedora Core 3.
The Iomega StorCenter also features an 802.11b/g wireless option, a Gigabit Ethernet interface and two USB ports for adding attachments like drives , printers etc. Iomega has also included a WPA encryption set and the company’s entry-level backup software is alos thrown in.
