This means that now users will take recording and burning discs a step further as the advance software is capable of producing laser-etched designs right on the disc surface without any hassle. The new optical devices features the patented and exclusive LightScribe Media Version 1.2 technology which delivers silkscreen-quality disc prints with greater ease.

Thus by making use of the new technology one can create custom labels using photos, graphics and text, and inscribe it on the scratch resistant discs. The 16X DVD+R discs with LightScribe Media Version 1.2 delivers extreme speeds and are available now in a package of 10 with a storage capacity of about 4.7 GB and can record 120 minutes of video in SP mode.
