SmartDisk has launched a new portable hard drive which does not need to be powered by an external source and can draw power from the PC USB or Fire wire cable. The new SmartDisk FireLite Xpress features a LCD and comes in both FireWire and USB 2.0 version which are bus powered and can run through the USB or FireWire cable on the computer. Its available in capacities like 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, 100GB and is compatible with operating systems like Windows 98SE (See note 2), Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP Mac OS 8.6, Mac OS 9.x, Mac OS X 10.1 or higher.

The new FireLite Xpress is pretty compact and has dimensions like 3 1/4in x 5 in x 3/4in or 84mm x 129mm x 18mm. Via the HDD, you can carry important digital content like videos, music files etc with you and thus make life so much easier for the user. Accessories like XPress feature BounceBack Express backup software, User Guide FireWire cable, CD with SmartDisk Tools for Mac OS 8.6 and Mac OS 9 come included in the package.
