This is the season of notebooks and there’s one released every one day (slight exaggeration on my part , but you get my drift). The latest to follow the notebook trend is Toshiba who has just launched the first laptop capable of playing next-generation, high-definition DVDs. The new Qosmio G35-AV650 not only has the right curves but is also capable of supporting HD DVD format and is backward compatible with standard DVDs too.
Like all good things this one too doesn’t come cheap and carries a price of $3,000. It includes a 17-inch-wide screen which is capable of displaying images in 1080p high-definition format and has a HDMI port too. It also includes a TV tuner which is able to play signals from a cable or satellite feed and record them too. The standard HD on the notebook includes 100 GB of storage capacity.
