NEC Computers Asia Pacific has introduced the NEC VERSA L1100 ultra-portable notebook series which I recently saw in the local papers over in . Keeping in mind the current trend of ultra portable laptops, this new offering by NEC doesn’t come much of a surprise. All the notebooks in this series include a 13.1” WXGA widescreen LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 768, and the NEC patented Super Shine View Technology. The new NEC VERSA L1100 notebooks combine performance and mobility with style, offering the best-in-class value for the style-conscious mobile user.The NEC VERSA L1100 ultra-portable notebook series sports a solid sapphire black chassis case and is available in both Intel Celeron M Processor and Intel Pentium M processor* based on Intel Centrino Mobile Technology. Connectivity options include built-in Intel Pro Wireless 2200BG Network Connection, integrated 10/100 Mbps LAN for broadband and network access, a 56K modem for dial-up Internet access, and three USB 2.0 ports and one IEEE-1394 port. The notebook comes bundled with a number of software applications like Genuine Windows XP Home Edition, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0, Norton Antivirus, Acrobat Reader, CyberLink PowerCinema™, RecordNow, Master CD Creator and Smart Restore.
