InterVideo has got another reason to smile. After tying up with Lenovo recently, now the company has tied up with Sony. According to this partnership, the yet to be released Sony’s Blu-Ray Disc enabled notebook and desktop PC will be bundled with the InterVideo Ulead's Blu-ray Disc (BD) playback and recording software. The notebooks which will sport this software would include  VAIO(R) Type A - VGN-AR70B, VAIO(R) Type R - VGN-RC72DPL9 and VGN-RC72DP.

Let’s look at the software application briefly. The bundle would include the Ulead BD DiscRecorder(TM) for VAIO which is one stop solution for BD playback. It supports all BDMV (movie) titles with parental and region controls and has features like subtitles, play modes, angles and direct Internet connectivity. The BD DiscRecorder(TM) for VAIO records high-definition video content from a number of sources including HDV
camcorders. The last in line is the lead DVD DiskRecorder(TM) Move SDK which basically transfers recorded TV programs to Blu-ray Discs or DVDs.
