
Epson has released a new projector which promises functionality, reliability and durability. The new Epson PowerLite 6100i projector is based on the popular Epson 3LCD technology and delivers a brightness of 3,500 ANSI lumens and a native resolution of XGA (1024 x 768). One unique and novel thing about this projector is its special features which will help the visually and the hearing impaired viewers to able enjoy the presentations. The Epson 3LCD technology features a three-chip engine and also includes a solid-state optical engine for flawless video performance. It also features a unique filtration system captures particles in the air (such as chalk or dust), and prevents them from accumulating and potentially harming the projector's internal components over time.
The Epson PowerLite 6100i has a filtration system which catches particles in the air and prevents it from entering the projector and also includes special features like a 5-watt speaker, 1.6x optical zoom and +30-degree keystone. One can also control the projector remotely via the LAN or Internet which is cool if you are you are working from home.
The Epson PowerLite 6100i will be available in July 2006 for $3,199 and that's pretty steep if you ask me but that remote function is undoubtedly pretty nifty.
