After Apple’s Boot Camp another company called Parallels has announced the final version of its software which lets Macs to run Microsoft Windows and the Mac OS at the same time. The Parallels Desktop program utilizes virtualization technology which lets windows programs operate simultaneously with Mac applications and they open in a separate window. This software is also unique as it doesn’t need to emulate the hardware to run Window based applications as now Mac and PCs both use the Intel chip.
Parallels marketing manager Ben Rudolph says "The difference in performance between Parallels and Boot Camp is negligible”.
