The Canon Inc. (CAJ) PIXMA iX4000 offers great value for money in terms of a generous amount of features that it packs as well as the wide range of paper types that it can handle. Not only that, the iX4000 is able to offer a relatively speedy print output, although it falls short of Canon's official numbers. The iX4000 is able to produce pictures in 4800 x 1200dpi glory using its 2-picolitre droplets. With only 4 inks being used at once, the output is superb whether you are printing graphics, text, or even photos. It uses the Canon FINE (Full-Photolithography Nozzle Engineering) technology in order to create extremely accurate nozzles where the ink droplets pass through. This printer comes with PictBridge compatibility that will enable you to hook up your PictBridge-enabled digital cameras and start printing directly without the aid of a PC. There are some issues when it comes to installing the drivers as it takes much longer than usual. However, once the iX4000 is up and running, it is pretty much smooth sailing from there.
