The 802.11n standard is still not finalized and is being drafted currently by the WiFi Alliance, but there are some products of draft N equipment floating around the free market at the moment. D-Link has entered the fray with its RangeBooster N 650 DIR-635 Wireless Router. In this instance, it does not pay to be an early adopter as the RangeBooster N 650 DIR-635 Wireless Router only offers a slight boost in speed, but there are way too many complications to grapple with that makes this device not worth it. The RangeBooster N 650 DIR-635 Wireless Router works very much like a standard wireless router - it comes with 3 antennas to enable you to maximize the signal direction and boasts a range of up to 200 feet. Unfortunately, maximum signal strength can only be achieved within a 10 feet radius. You can purchase it today for $130, but you're better off waiting for the finalized 802.11n specifications that should be released within the next year or so.
Pros : 802.11n draft specifications, slight increase in speed
Cons : Many teething problems, 802.11n specifications not finalized yet
