F5 Networks has announced the FirePass 120 platform today and expanded the company's SSL VPN product family with its latest release. The FirePass 1200 platform can be licensed for 10 to 100 concurrent users, offering secure remote access that can be upgraded without requiring any additional hardware purchases. It is attractively priced to cater for Small Medium Enterprises as well as office startups. This is a purpose-built appliance that offers an easy user interface as well as the dummy-proof Visual Policy Editor. Key features include integrated endpoint security capabilities, a unique virtual keyboard for key logger protection, built-in support for all SSL VPN access modes, granular access to specific Web-based and client/server applications, and clientless support for common applications such as OWA, iNotes, terminal services, and Windows files. The FirePass 1200 platform will replace the outgoing FirePass 1000 series and is available from today onwards.
