CyberTouch's new Neo 17 LCD monitor comes in a widescreen format with an aspect ratio of 16:9. It measures 17" diagonally across and uses a resistive touchscreen as a form of input. Deisgned for both home-automation and the home-theater industry, it can also be used at places where kiosk applications, digital signage, and point-of-information booths are welcome. The Neo 17 offers a maximum resolution of up to 1280 x 768 pixels and uses just 31 watts to run. This means it remains cool when in use, eliminating the need for a fan, and thus making it suitable for use in places where quietness is a virtue. The Neo 17 is bundled with drivers for Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms. Other features include add-ons such as environmental gaskets, anti-vandalism overlays and EMI/ESD shielding.
Pros : Widescreen format, touchscreen capability
Cons : Could be stolen when used in public places
