
Seagate is offering an alternative to portable storage devices that come in the flash memory format by introducing Pocket Hard Drives that are available in capacities of 2GB, 5GB, and 6GB. These portable storage devices fit into the palm with ease, leaving plenty of room for other items as well. All three capacities are rated at 3600rpm and boast 2MB of internal RAM in order to achieve a 480Mbps transfer rate. The Pocket Hard Drives are hot-swappable and can be plugged into the PC anytime. It is powered by the USB port, so there is no need for an external power supply. These drives come with shock-resistant cases to protect your data inside, and the retractable cable keeps things looking neat. The 2GB model costs $65 upwards, and the 6GB model will set you back by $84. Each purchase comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
