Abit has a new motherboard that was specially designed for AM2 processors from AMD. The Fatal1ty AN9 32X motherboard is actually based on the NForce 590 SLI Northbridge and SPP 190 Northbridge
chipsets and comes with a pair of PCI-E 16x graphic processing unit slots that make the dream of a quad-SLI configuration a reality. The AN9 32X is capable of supporting up to a quartet of DDR2 memory modules (maximum of DDR2 800) and comes with a dual nVidia Gigabit LAND card, a 7.1 channel HD Audio Max chipset, a couple of PCI-E 1x slots, and a solitary PCI slot. Connectivity options include a floppy, a single IDE cable, six USB 2.0 ports, a couple of FireWire ports, an Audio Max slot, and six SATA II connectors. Each purchase of the Fatal1ty AN9 32X motherboard comes with 6 SATA cables, four USB 2.0 raiser cards, rounded IDE and floppy cables, and an additional fan to provide extra cooling power. Overall the AN9 32X is a great motherboard for over clocking enthusiasts and outperforms the competition in various benchmark tests. If you're in the graphic design business, the AN9 32X motherboard would be a great buy as it doubles up as a high-end gaming motherboard as well. At 199 Euros, it is certainly not cheap but there is much joy and value to be derived from it.
