Abit will be unveiling two new motherboards this week that will
support the world's best microprocessors from the Intel Core 2 Duo line. Both the AW9D and AW9D-MAX motherboards will come with the Intel 975X chipset, where the only differences between the two would be the total number of SATA connections as well as the number of heat pipes in use. Both motherboards are touted to be quad-core ready, and are more than capable of handling dual graphics solutions, be it ATI's CrossFire or Nvidia's SLI. Features of the advanced AW9D-MAX motherboard include having up to seven internal and one external SATA connections and a pair of silent OTE heat pipes for cooling purposes. The more basic AW9D lacks the external SATA connection and comes with just a single heat pipe. Future-proof your computer for at least a few more years by including these two new motherboards in your shopping list. Pricing and availability details are currently unavailable.
Pros : Quad-core ready, dual-graphic solutions compatibility, many SATA connections
Cons : Unknown price details
