ASUSTek has unveiled its new Tablet PC, dubbed the R1F. The R1F will have the Core 2 Duo range of processors underneath the hood,
providing more than enough power to handle the business applications of today as well as the tasks of tomorrow. Since the Core 2 Duo processors offer a much better battery life compared to Core Duo models, the R1F is expected to last the pace in a demanding business environment. Features include a fingerprint security system and a spill-proof keyboard that comes in handy, since every office has at least a single klutz who tends to bring out the worst whenever he/she is around you. The display is a lovely 13.3" WXGA widescreen, while connectivity features include a trio of USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Choose from a 80GB, 100GB, or 120GB SATA hard drive in the final configuration. Final pricing and availability details are unknown as at press time.
Pros : Lightweight, long battery life, 64-bit processing platform
Cons : Tablet PC lacks computing power for more intensive tasks
