The onscreen keyboard provided by UMPCs and PDAs alike are insufficient for your everyday typing needs, hence the market for a projection keyboard. The idea is not

new and there are a few devices in the market already, but Celluon from Korea is offering the CL850 as yet another solution to this perennial problem. The CL850 is a wee bit bigger than the iPod nano and projects a virtual keyboard via laser on nearly any surface. It uses a patented 3D electronic perception technology to detect which key is being typed. There are three ways to power the CL850 - via USB, the built-in lithium ion battery, or a direct AC adapter. This is a great addition to anyone who uses UMPCs, PDAs, and smartphones to finish up their office work on a daily basis. The inclusion of a buzzer makes the experience all the more authentic as a sound is played each time you hit a key. The CL850 can project a keyboard in English, Spanish, German, French, and Korean.
Pros : Many languages, makes typing easy on small devices
Cons : Takes some getting used to, does not have tactile feedback of standard keyboards
