Corsair Memory will be shipping a new range of memory modules that will boast an optional fan for cooling purposes. The new DXH XMS2 Dominator module series utilizes Dual-Path Heat Xchange technology that not only leads heat through the BGA leads within the socket to the motherboard itself, it also routes heat to a specially designed PCB at the top of the module where the optional fan unit comprising of three 40mm fans will proceed to keep things cool. As if that wasn't enough, the RAM module also has a quartet of heat sinks to further dissipate heat efficiently. Expect to fork out a premium as the TWIN2X2048-8888C4DF will retail for approximately $600 to $650 while the TWIN2X2048-8500C5D, which does not require any fan, is more affordable at the $380 to $400 price range. Each Dominator Airflow fan module is tagged below $25.
