The EyeFi 802.11g SD card will prove to be a revolution when it becomes compatible with the wide range of smartphones from Treo, PDA, and the gamut of devices out there that have an SD memory
card slot. It currently supports digital cameras, although the company is taking the aforementioned into serious consideration. All you need to do to create an instant WiFi connection is to slot the EyeFi 802.11g SD card into the SD slot and you're good to go. It is backward compatible with 802.11b, so you don't have to worry about any incompatibility issues. The EyeFi 802.11g SD card also comes with a generous 1GB of storage space, so you can use it to carry your personal files as well. Pricing details are currently unavailable, but a beta release will be out this Fall.
Pros : Brings WiFi connectivity to digital cameras with similar potential to compatible devices that has an SD card slot
Cons : Final specification might rule PDAs and smartphone compatibility out
