Taking a cue from Maxtor and Western Digital’s storage offerings,
Toshiba offers a better way to store data via its external USB hard drives that are equipped with the intelligent software programme known as "Regen" which is capable of implementing a password security system as well as data encryption, minimizing the risk of unauthorized entry to your data. This is great for offices where sensitive data in certain departments are required to remain within certain circles. This new external hard drive is available in 160GB, 250GB, and 320GB versions, with plans to introduce the 400GB and 500GB models further down the road. You can also use these hard drives as a backup as pressing a single button in front will automatically backup selected files. Restoration of data is just as easy, and you have a wizard interface to help you along in case you run into any trouble. The 160GB, 250GB, and 320GB models will retail for £62, £74, and £93 respectively, excluding VAT.
Pros : Easy backup, offers encryption and password protection
Cons : Might not be sufficient for larger organizations
