With most offices and homes moving toward a more affordable communications solution via VoIP, many companies have entered the VoIP peripheral fray including

ZyXEL. The ZyXEL P2000W V2 is the company's latest attempt to make a noticeable inroad into this fast growing and lucrative market. It comes with a pleasant blue backlit display, features ordinary sounding ringtones and has a svelte shape that is extremely pocket-friendly. Unfortunately, those are not enough to justify its purchase as the P2000W V2 has a rather confusing user interface while the stiff keys and lack of key edges make it harder to use than normal. It is also distressing to note that the P2000W V2 cannot connect to a WPA-encrypted wireless network, supporting only the archaic WEP standard which is not enough by today's standards. Call quality is decidedly poor, and you are better off looking at other VoIP handsets as they offer more at the same price point. The P2000W V2 retails for approximately $145.
Pros : WiFi VoIP handset, svelte size
Cons : Does not support WPA-encrypted wireless network, poor voice quality
