Troubled PC maker Dell could finally put its worries of exploding batteries and creative accounting woes off for a while as it concentrates on delivering the first batch of AMD-based desktop PCs. This comes across as extremely significant as
Dell has always sold nothing but Intel-based PCs all the while. Although the new AMD-powered PCs will not be the most powerful ones available, at least it offers more variety to the consumer. You will have to wait for some time before powerful AMD-based systems are released, but at the moment the Dell C521 will have to do. It is not a slouch when it comes to business applications, but don't expect stellar performance in games with the integrated graphics chipset. The Dell C521 will run on the Windows Media Center 2005 operating system which is helped by a maximum 4GB of RAM and 500GB hard drive. Pros : Alternative to Intel-only desktops
