After all, nobody has just a single e-mail nor bank account, let alone the deluge of passwords that we have to remember when it comes to social networking sites, access to office doors, and other items. The GuardID Vault is a USB smart card device that enables the user to store all their usernames and passwords on it, which can be then accessed by typing in the correct PIN when plugged into a PC via an available USB port. Security is provided through an advanced anti-pharming/anti-phishing mechanism. Perhaps the manufacturers of the GuardID Vault could have gone a step further by introducing biometric verification in addition to the PIN as a greater measure of security.
