Are you one of those who want to print a single page, only to be thwarted by your colleague who has sent a 300-page document to the network printer a couple of seconds before you did? All that frustration is now a thing of the past should the
JeTrix project ever come to fruition. A couple of engineers from the College of Judea and Samaria in Israel are currently working on an inkjet print head which is capable of printing approximately 1,000 pages per minute. This is by far faster than any laser printer in the market today, and it operates on the same principle as that of an LCD monitor. Dubbed the c, the printer head comes with micro-reservoirs of ink which is responsible for an element on the page each, enabling you to print out a single page in just one process without moving the print head back and forth like today. The two young minds hope to see a commercial version roll out within the next couple of years. Such an invention will definitely be a boon to mankind as there is virtually no wait times left to contend with. One thing though - the ink reservoirs of the print head must be pretty sizeable as it will probably run out of ink long before a single minute is over.Pros : Extremely fast printing speeds, virtually no waiting times
