Lindy Electronics has a new item for notebook users who have a free PCMCIA slot and do not know how to best maximize it. The 20-in-1 Memory Card Reader comes in a PCMCIA format and features a single slot-multi card interface. All you got to do

is to pop it into an available PCMCIA slot, insert a compatible memory card, and you're good to go. There is no need for drivers or installation of special software, so setting it up is extremely easy. Among the supported formats include SD, MMC, HS MMC, DV-RS-MMC, C-Flash, T-Flash, Mini-SD, RS-MMC, MS, MS-Pro, HS-MS-MG-Pro, HS-MS-Pro, MS Select, MS Duo, MS-MG, MS-MG Pro, MS-Duo-MG, MS-Pro Duo, MS ROM, and X-card. Take note that this card reader does not come bundled with different adapters for the wide variety of formats available. Unfortunately, newer notebooks do not come with a PCMCIA slot and they often feature built-in memory card readers as well, making this product one that targets the previous generation of notebook owners.
Pros : Frees up USB port, PCMCIA slot available in many older notebooks
Cons : Does not come with adapters, does not support ExpressCard slot
