Core 2 Duo notebooks are getting more and more common in the market these days, and Japanese manufacturer Progress has unveiled its Progress MXT notebook that has an Intel Core 2 Duo T2700 2.0GHz processor running at its heart. The MXT notebook measures 397mm x 294mm x 22mm and weighs 8.4 pounds,

making it a mid-sized notebook that will result in shoulder aches if you plan to lug it around on long road trips. The Progress MXT comes with a 17" WSXGA+ display that shows off all your presentations and multimedia slides in perfect clarity. The potential for this notebook is huge, and it should remain obsolete-proof for quite some time to come. There is no integrated graphics with this business productivity tool as you get a GPU from NVidia in the form of the GeForce Go 7900 GTX chipset. Additional features include 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 120GB hard drive, and a DVD±R/RW drive. Connectivity options include a trio of USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, and WiFi connectivity. It is currently available in Japan for $2,585.
Pros : Core 2 Duo processor, huge memory, ample hard drive space, fast graphics card
