UWB Hub to be released next month

Y-E Data of Japan are currently developing the wireless hub that is based on Ultra Wide Band (UWB) wireless technology, making it the first ever commercialUWB_Hub.jpg application announced. When released in October, this Wireless Hub will mount a UWB Wireless communications module as well as include up to four USB 2.0 ports for greater connectivity. This device uses a USB dongle that comes with built-in USB wireless capability which is plugged into a PC. You can then hook up other USB-compatible devices such as printers, digital cameras, and other computer peripherals into the wireless hub and you're good to go. In environments where there is no physical obstacles whatsoever, you can achieve a maximum data transfer rate of approximately 100Mbps across a distance of 10 meters via UWB. Pick one up from Japan when it is released this October 21st. Prices range from $210 to $340.
