Belkin will implement the Intel Wireless UWB Link 1480 MAC silicon in the up and coming UWB USB Adapter which is based on WiNet and Certified Wireless USB technology. This USB adapter will initially support peer-to-peer connectivity that
enables a broad range of users to share multimedia content between computers. Intel's Wireless UWB Link 1480 MAC silicon solution is capable of offering short-range, high-bandwidth capabilities that take up very little power, making it the perfect connectivity solution for both home and small office setups. UWB is set to become the single, standard wireless interconnect which will support a wide range of devices, including PC, CE, and mobile market segmetns. Hopefully a worldwide implementation will see high-bandwidth wireless access become a reality for all users across the globe.
