FON has unveiled their second WiFi Sharing router at a subsidized fee of just $5. How could they release such a hardware at this low, low price? The answer is simple - if you own a FON WiFi Sharing router, you will also be able to log in to other FON user hotspots as long as your own hotspot remains open to other FON users. The new WiFi Sharing router is known as La Fonera, which literally "The Winged Mallard Flies at Midnight." This new device is compliant with both B and G standards, and comes with a separate SSID for public FON users, while another is reserved for private use. There ought to be some form of bandwidth throttling built-in
Pros : Extremely cheap WiFi router
Cons : Shared connection could leave you open to security vulnerabilities
