Sony is really in a spot as Fujitsu joins the long line of notebook manufacturers who have issued a battery recall. This comes in view after reports from all over the world flooded regarding Dell notebooks spontaneously combusting during use, which was subsequently followed by Apple and recently, Lenovo. All three manufacturers have long issued a battery recall in view of the potential fire hazards and serious injuries that could arise from such a catastrophy. Toshiba also followed suit sometime last week, and it is now Fujitsu's turn to do so. Approximately 287,000 batteries are involved in this recall program, bringing up the grand total to a whooping 7 million batteries. The affected Fujitsu notebooks are the FMV-BIBLO LOOX P70R, P70S, FMV-BIBLO LOOX T50M, T50R, T50RN, T50S, T50SN, FMV-BIBLO LOOX T70M, T70M/T, T70MN, T70R, T70R/T, T70RN, T70S, T70S/V, T70SN, FMV-P8210, LIFEBOOK P1510, P1510D, P7120, P7120D, LIFEBOOK S7020, S7020D, S7025, S7025D, and LIFEBOOK C1320, C1320D.
